My quest for the perfect wool boxer continues unfortunately.

The materials used are great. Can't find any other boxer brief options with these materials (non superwash and latex waist). However, the fit needs some work IMO. These are labeled as sport but I would not recommend them for such. I took a pair on a 10 mile day trip hike and the inseam was riding up my gooch the whole time which was rather annoying to say the least. I'm a normal athletic build 6' 175 with 30-32 inch waist so nothing odd about my anatomy. A little drape to the fit might help idk. Maybe I'll try the normal ones but hard to buy $50 for underwear if they're annoying to wear.

Thank you for this, genuinely, detailed feedback from real use is how we get better, and I'm glad the materials themselves are exactly what you'd been hunting for.

On the ride-up, an honest explanation: merino knit has a one-way stretch and zero elastane, so unlike synthetic sport underwear, there's no compressive grip holding the leg in place. Natural fibre moves with the body rather than clamping to it, and on something as demanding as a 10 mile hike, that difference shows. Two things genuinely help: sizing up (at a 30 to 32 inch waist, you're at the top of our L and into XL territory, and our fit rewards the roomier choice, more drape is exactly right), and break-in, since merino relaxes noticeably with body heat, wear, and washing, so the first outing is the grabbiest they'll ever be.

And you're not shouting into the void: our next production batch, planned for November, is being cut roomier across the range, with more generous legs, based on feedback exactly like yours. If you give us another shot at that point, I think the fit will meet the materials.

The underwear is phenomenal! The customer service is also very friendly, cordial, and welcoming.

The underwear feels very soft and pleasant to the touch, and is a great choice for those seeking a synthetic-free experience. In a world full of mainstream brands marketing themselves as "100% natural", while hiding synthetics via loopholes, CEDR serves to eliminate those concerns, and genuinely produce top-quality, TRULY 100% natural, synthetic-free underwear.
